FAQ

Sewing Class Policy

No refunds on sewing classes, sewing workshops, and private sewing students. We consider your payment a commitment and cannot issue a refund. We will issue a credit toward another class and are happy to work with you to arrange a more convenient class schedule.

Class Attendance Policy
-Notification of class cancellations must be given 48 hours in advance. Students who cancel accordingly can attend a group make-up session. Students who show up late more than 35 minutes are considered a no show and must reschdule a new class.
-Individual class re-schedules will not be given.
-Group make-up sessions will be given once a month and are scheduled by the instructor.

Online Returns & Exchanges

No refunds or exchanges on fabric purchases.

Unused product (not including fabric) may be returned within 14 days of purchase for online or store credit. When returning online purchases, the customer must pay for all shipping costs associated with the return. The full purchase cost (not including shipping fees) will be credited to the customer via E-mail.

If fabric or products are damaged in shipment, we will not accept these for exchange, but will be happy to send replacements at no charge. We will ship replacement merchandise at no cost and will reimburse any shipping costs related to returning damaged products. Please include a description of the damage with your return.

Store Returns & Exchanges

Redeeming Coupons & Gift Certificates

Shipping & Handling

Standard shipments (domestic and international) will be shipped on Thursday mornings using USPS. If there is a problem with your order, you will be contacted by email or phone.

Orders will take 24 hours to process before shipment. Therefore orders entered after 11am on Wednesday using standard shipment will not be processed in time to ship on Thursday. Those orders will be shipped the following week with the next group of shipments.

All expedited or express shipments will be shipped the following business day.

Information regarding shipment confirmation and tracking will be sent to the E-mail you provided.

For standard shipping we ship with USPS (United States Postal Service). For domestic expedited and express shipments, we ship with UPS. All shipments (standard, expedited, and express) made to P.O. Boxes will be shipped via USPS as UPS cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes.

All orders are shipped from Ridgewood, New York. Please take this into account when estimating transit time.

Please note that for international shipments, customs and brokerage fees may apply. These fees vary from country to country and SEW Moni is not responsible.

We cannot mark international packages as a “gift” as this is illegal.

Standard Shipping & Handling

All standard shipments will be processed with the United States Postal Service (USPS).

Shipments within the USA: 3-7 business days (from shipment date)
Shipments to Canada: 1-2 weeks (from shipment date)
Shipments to International locations: 1-3 weeks (from shipment date)

USPS Flat Rate Shipping Boxes are used for standard shipments. If your order does not fit within the specifications of the box, we will charge you for the difference in shipping cost.

Expedited Shipping & Handling

Expedited shipments will be processed with UPS.

Shipments within the USA using 2nd Day Air: 2 business days (from shipment date)
Shipments to Canada: 5-7 days (from shipment date)
Shipments to International locations: 1 week (from shipment date)

Express Shipping & Handling

Express shipments will be processed with UPS.

Shipments within the USA using Next Day Air: 1 business day (from shipment date)
Shipments to Canada: 2-4 business days (from shipment date)
Shipments to International locations: less than 1 week (from shipment date)

Shipping & Handling Rates

Our shipping rates are flat rates. They are based on amount shipped, level of shipping service, and shipping location. For International orders, if your shipping cost is less than what you were charged at the time of your order, you will receive a credit to your card.

For any orders that exceed the shipping costs listed due to special size or weight of order, the difference in cost will be collected before the shipment is made.
